JAMMU, Oct 5: Old Janipur Social Worker Adhoc development Committee, Jammu West Constituency, today demanded the Government to develop the Old Janipur Park as per the pattern of Women and Children Floriculture Park at Talab Tillo, Jammu.
The demand was raised today in a meeting of the committee held here under the leadership of Kulwant Singh Sambyal. The committee members said that the fountain and other articles installed for playing of children are non-functional for last many years while there is no lighting system in and around the park.
The speakers said that there are no dustbins, no drinking water facility and no sitting arrangement in the park. “Moreover, there is no chowkidar and gardner to look after the park”, they said and appealed the Director Floriculture, Jammu, to personally intervene into the matter for maintenance and development of the park.
