JAMMU, Oct 9: Revenue Department of Tehsil Maira Mandrian in Akhnoor today demolished four encroachments at village Nardi, which had been raised at ‘Gair Mumkin Khad’ (state land).
Encroachments had been made by Daleep Singh, Faga Singh, Raj Singh and Swaran Singh.
The anti-encroachment drive was conducted by a joint Revenue and police authorities under the supervision of Tehsildar Maira Mandrian Surinder Bhagat and police parties headed by SHO Akhnoor.
Bhagat said local people of the area heaved a sigh of relief as their common pathway, which had been blocked for years together, was cleared for a thorough lane.
The Sub Divisional Magistrate, Akhnoor supervised the anti-encroachment drive.
