JAMMU, Oct 9: Alleging that Jammu West Assembly constituency has become the dirtiest, most backward and  under developed constituency of the State due to failure of the State Government to provide even basic amenities like good roads, clean drinking water, etc, Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) today warned of starting a Jan Aandolan against the present Government.
Addressing a press conference, JWAM president, Sunil Dimple said that condition of almost all the roads of the West constituency like Janipur-High Court road and internal roads in New Plot, Sarwal, Rehari, Bakshi Nagar and Talab Tillo are in worst condition for last two years but authorities concerned are sleeping over the issue.
“Moreover, BJP-PDP Government, ERA and PWD R&B Ministry have totally failed to solve the traffic problem in the Jammu city”, he said, adding, since the BJP-PDP Government has taken charge, no new project has been started while all old projects are lying unattended. “The whole Jammu West constituency has been converted into slum”, he added.
He demanded that Jammu West constituency be bifurcate into two assembly constituencies as this is the largest constituency of the State and no development is taking place there. He further demanded construction of flyovers from Amphalla to Jewel and Amphalla to Paloura via New Plot to solve traffic problem in the constituency.
Dimple also asserted for early start of work on Jammu AIIMS, Smart City project, Chenab water supply scheme, ring roads and metro rail project.
