Srinagar, Oct 9: A service rifle of a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel has gone missing at Allouchi Bagh area of Srinagar today.
Sources said that CRPF personnel identified as Imran of 25 Battalion told police that he found his Insas Rifle, some rounds and magazine today while on duty at Bul Bul Bagh Bund in Alochi Bagh.
“The CRPF man was posted at Bul Bul Bagh bund for law and order duty in wake of strike call today. He told police that he had gone to have lunch and after returning to his duty place, he found his service rifle missing,” he told Police. He is being questioned in this regard by Police.
Sources said that they are looking into the claims of the CRPF man and the matter is being investigated.
