I would like to draw the attention of the authorities at the helm of affairs in the Education Deptt.regarding issuance of SRO-202. This draconian SRO permits the newly selected lecturers in 10+2 schools for entitlement of minimum of pay scale along with grade pay during the first five years of their probation period.
Justice demands that when same selection procedure is adopted by the selecting authorities i.e JKPSC, for selecting candidates for all others gazetted posts, no such taboo has been imposed on them, then why this step motherly treatment is given to 10+2 school lecturers? This disparity in appointment rules for 10+2 lecturers is against the norms of natural justice. It is, therefore, strongly urged that Rule 8 and 9 of SRO-202 be scraped henceforth so that newly selected 10+2 lecturers should not be forced to adopt agitational path for their just and genuine cause. The salary on the newly appointed Lecturers should be at par with the other gazetted officers.
