Minor girl injured in hit and run case

MENDHAR, Nov 8: In a hit and run case, a son of a police personnel caused serious injuries to a minor school girl and fled from the spot in Mendhar town today.
As per reports, a Maruti car bearing registration number JK12 2865, driven by son of a police constable Mushtaq Ahmed, hit minor girl Zobia Kouser, daughter of Mohd Zubair of Gulata, resulting into serious injuries to her.
After getting hit by the vehicle, the minor girl fell into a nearby nallah. She was rescued by passers by and shifted to nearby hospital, from where she was later referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for advance treatment.
Police has registered a case and launched manhunt to arrest the son of police personnel, who fled from the spot leaving behind the vehicle.
Meanwhile, Jasvir Singh, son of Jagjeet Singh of Nanak Nagar, succumbed to his injuries at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) here today.
The deceased was admitted in the hospital on November 5, after being hit by a car in Satwari area of the winter capital.
