JAMMU, Oct 14: Elections of Jammu and Kashmir Rahbr-e-Taleem Teachers Forum were held today in which Abdul Aziz Gazi and Vinod Sharma were elected as chairman and president, respectively.
Two polling stations, one each at Jammu and Srinagar, were established for the election, in which the voters forming the electoral college from all the districts of the State participated and used their right to franchise.
For the post of chairman, Abdul Aziz Gazi defeated Parvez Iqbal Shah while for the posts of State president, Vinod Sharma defeated Hamiet Ullah with a huge margin and got elected for the third consecutive time.
Saleem Sagar was elected as general secretary. In a straight contest, he defeated Qazi Tasleem.
The elections for these posts at Jammu were held under the close and overall supervision of Najam Jafri , Rajesh Singh Jamwal, Gulzabir Ahmed Daing and Manzoor Khan as election commissioners whereas at Srinagar, Reyaz-ul Rehman, Pir Siraj, Mohd Amin Budgami and Tuffail Masroor were the election commissioners.
