Two flags in State disgrace to martyrdom of Mookerji: NPP

KATHUA/SAMBA, Oct 15: Making a scathing attack on ruling BJP, ex-MLA and NPP president Balwant Singh Mankotia blamed the coalition partner  for disgracing the martyrdom of Dr Shayama Parshad Mookerji by using two flags on their vehicles in the State.
He claimed that party will launch an aggressive agitation for one flag in State to settle the long pending issue of one identity, one nation.
Tiranga rally started for the upcoming Accession Day in Jammu region, NPP organized a Tiranga rally under the representation of party leader Narotam Singh in border area of Samba district. Later, a scooter/bike rally was organized under the leadership of district president Robin Sharma and youth president Balbir Singh and NPP workers by holding Tricolour in Kathua district of Jammu region.
Leading the Tirangar rally, NPP president and youth wing president of the party, Yash Pal Kundal thanked the people of border districts for their huge support for successful conduct of rally.
While addressing the gatherings at Samba, Mankotia assailed the ruling coalition partner BJP for forgetting the martyrdom of Dr Shayama Parshad Mookerji who laid down his life for one nation, one flag and now slogan has become Jumla for party and its ministers has disgraced his martyrdom by using two flags on their vehicles. He reminded that when NPP was in power, their ministers never used state flag and only used national flag on their vehicles and paid real homage to Dr Mookerji who laid down his life for country.
Youth president, NPP and former MLA Yash Pal Kundal said that party has received huge response for separate Jammu state demand and party has launched `Haq Insaaf Yatra’ to seek right and justice for people of Jammu region and is receiving huge support which shows that no one can stop NPP to carve out separate Jammu State in coming time.
He also  criticized the BJP-PDP Govt for adopting different yardsticks for releasing the salary for employees. He said few days have been left and country’s biggest Diwali festival and till now employees of Jammu region have not received the salary for the month of October and BJP ministers have  adopted criminal silence which may further hamper the festive and business season in Jammu region.
