UDHAMPUR, Oct 15: Indian Army is conducting a three-month long nursing training course from October 11, 2017 onwards at Khari, in Ramban district.
During the training, the girls would be imparted training on theoretical as well as practical aspects of the nursing. This will not only enable them to have an edge in qualification but would also open an avenue for self employment.
The nursing training would be helpful in familiarization with the basic nursing techniques, human body systems, hygiene and sanitation and also encourage them to apply for provisional nursing courses like ‘General Nursing’ and ‘BSc Nursing’ courses.
The participants of the training would also be provided with certificates which will act as a value addition in their overall education profile.
Parents of the participants conveyed their gratitude to the Army for giving an opportunity to empower the girls of remote areas of Ramban district. The initiative was applauded by the villagers and other prominent people of the area, who expressed their gratitude to the Army for undertaking such an initiative.
