JAMMU, Oct 16: The State unit of Mahila Congress workers today held strong protest demonstration against the Modi led BJP Government near Press Club here today.
A large number of  Mahila Congress activists led by State president, Indu Pawar ( Ex-MLA) assembled near Press Club at  around 11.30 am and then  started protest demonstration against Modi Government at the Centre and Coalition Govt in the State.
They were carrying banners and placards in their hands demanding resignation of Amit Shah for providing undue benefit  to his son, Jay Shah as his profit  increased 16,000 times just in last two and half years. They alleged that now  Modi  and his team was hell bent to protect Amit Shah’s son.  They also alleged that Modi the so called `Chowkidar’ of public  money  has failed to keep check on corruption in his own party.
Mahila Congress president demanded constitution of Judicial Commission, comprising of two sitting  judges of Supreme Court  to reveal the truth regarding Jay Shah’s business dealings. She said Jay Shah’s growth is reflection of BJP’s Vikas Mantra.
They were also protesting for portraying former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi with pro-separatist leader Asiya Andrabi by State Government at a banner during `Beti Bachao Beti Padhao programme in Kashmir few days back. They termed this move as deliberate just to disturb peace in the State.
“It is matter of shame that this Government has shown Asiya Andrabi as role model along with Mother Terresa, Indira Gandhi and Kiran Bedi  for the girls of the State. This is insulting for the nation and BJP must clear its stand. It is  surprising that BJP Ministers are maintaining silence,” Pawar said.
Vandana Makhnotra, Santosh Sharma, Reeta Kanojia, Bhupinder Kour and others also accompanied Pawar.
