JAMMU, Nov 9: Vishwa Bharti Public School, Akalpur organized SN Ganju Award Ceremony.
On the occasion, AK Bhat, president, Managing Committee of the institution was the chief guest, while, Swami Shri Ekarthananda of Sri Ramakrishna Mission, Udheywala was the guest of honour. Besides members of the management committee JL Koul, secretary, College of Education and Public School, Jammu, Dr SK Koul, treasurer Jammu unit, Dr AN Sadhu, Chairman, Regional Administrative Committee, Dr RL Tickoo, member and treasurer, Srinagar units of the institution, Dr RK Sapru and KN Bhat, members of RAC, Beena Marya, Vice Principal, Carmel Convent School, Kunjwani, faculty members and students were also present.
The award which included a cash prize of Rs 5,000 and a shield was awarded to Preeti Koul of Higher Secondary Part II on the basis of her all round excellence both in scholastic and non scholastic activities.
Prizes were also distributed to those who excelled in various activities both academic and extra curricular.
Earlier, Principal of the school, BMS Pathania, presented the welcome address, while, Preeti Koul, Head Girl of the school, presented vote of thanks.
The whole programme was compared by Trinaini Zalpuri and Akansha Handoo, both students of Class 12th.
