The protestors shouting slogans termed the SRO a grave injustice with them as this way they have been deprived of full salary benefits despite their job being connected with security and they have to perform duty during odd hours also.
The recruits mostly from Kashmir Valley also demanded that they be given the other benefits like allowances etc as the other cops are entitled to.
The protestors said that the Rs 10,000 salary which they are given at present is too meager to make their both ends meet. They also demanded that after completion of training they be posted in their home districts.
Later the protestors dispersed after the officers in the PTS assured them that they will take up the issue with higher ups.
