Drug peddler arrested with heroin

JAMMU, Oct 25: Satwari police under “Operation Sanjeevani” arrested a drug peddler along with heroin worth several thousands.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Satwari Police Station laid a naka at Bhour Camp and intercepted a pedestrian, who was trying to hide himself.
During checking, police recovered 7 grams of heroin worth several thousands from the possession of the pedestrian and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Tajinder Singh alias Pappu, son of late Ranjeet Singh, a resident of Bhore Kothey Gadigarh.
A case under FIR Number 214/17 under relevant sections has been registered at Police Station Satwari and further investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment.
Police team led by SHO Satwari Inspector Manjeet Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO South Mohammad Rafiq Manhas and SP South Sandeep Choudhary.
