JAMMU, Oct 25: The National Cadet Corps of Government MAM College Jammu organized a function in which tributes were paid to martyr Lt Sushil Khajuria, an alumni of the College, who made the supreme sacrifice while fighting militants at Kupwara Srinagar on September 28, 2011.
The parents and family member of the martyr were also present on the occasion. Guard of honour was presented to Commanding Officer Karam-Din of 2 J&K Boys Bn NCC Jammu and also to the parent of the martyr.
The Commanding Officer Karam Din motivated the Cadets to join defense forces and highlighted the supreme sacrifice made by the Lt Sushil Khajuria who proved not only a good son of his parents but a true son of his mother land.
Earlier, welcome address was presented by NCC Cadet Arjun Singh. Principal of the College, Dr Ajeet Angral said that such events instill inspiration and motivation to the students about the spirit of sacrifice in safeguarding our country.
The vote of thank was presented by Prof Karan Singh Bhau, Associate NCC Officer.
