JAMMU, Oct 25: President of the National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) Subash Shastri in an appeal to State Finance Minister Dr Haseeb Darbu has urged him to speed up the process of regularization of casual/seasonal and daily rated workers as per the decision of the State Cabinet on 23rd of october 2017 under which road map of regularization was approved.
“Even though it appears that Government headed by Mehbooba Mufti seems to sincere to solve the long pending issue of daily rated workers, there are apprehensions that at the basic level, the departmental heads have not been directed to implement this policy”, Shastri said while interacting with media persons here.
Stressing on the need Shastri demanded interim relief @ 20% in favor of State Government employees and pensioners till the 7th Pay Commission recommendations are implemented in J&K State along with increase of medical allowance to rupees one thousand per month on the pattern of the pensioners of the Central services, release of 7 % DA due from July last, increasing the wage rate to Rs 350, apart from creating separate wage head for regular disbursement of wages on monthly basis and issuance of regularization orders of 180 daily rated workers working in the Rural Development Department of Jammu region.
