Stolen electronic goods worth Rs 3 lakh recovered

UDHAMPUR, Oct 26: Udhampur Police has worked out Gari theft cases under the jurisdiction of Police Station Rehambal within 48 hours of its registration and arrested the accused besides affecting recovery of the stolen items.
The arrested thief has been identified as Sukhvinder Singh of Gari and the recovered stolen items included laptops, printer, keyboards and other computer accessories amounting to about Rs 3 lakh.
According to Police, following complaint of burglary in an electronics shop of Gari, under the jurisdiction of PS Rehmabal, a special team headed by Inspector Sanjeev Chib, SHO PS Rehambal, assisted by SI Vishal Manhas, conducted raids in different suspected locations.
During raids, some suspects were zeroed in by police and on sustained interrogation of these suspects, one of them broke down and confessed commissioning of the offence. On disclosure of the accused, all the stolen electronics items like computers, Laptops, printers etc amounting to about Rs 3 lakh were recovered.
Police is also working on the involvement of some other accused in the said theft case besides involvement of the arrested accused Sukha Singh in some recent theft cases in Udhampur.
