Kashmir based drug peddler arrested with cannabis

JAMMU, Oct 26: Nagrota police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested a Kashmir based drug peddler along with around 2 kilograms of cannabis.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Nagrota Police Station laid a naka and intercepted a Xylo car coming from Srinagar towards Jammu.
During checking, police recovered around 1.900 kilograms of cannabis from the possession of the driver and arrested him.
The accused has been identified as Manzoor Ahmed, son of Abdul Rehman Dar, a resident of District Anantnag.
A case under FIR Number 230/17 under relevant sections has been registered at Police Station Nagrota and further investigation of the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Nagrota Bhushan Manhas made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Yashbir Singh Slathia and SP Rural Shivdeep Singh.
