Law School organizes investiture ceremony of Rangers & Rovers

JAMMU, Oct 27: The Law School, Jammu University, organized investiture ceremony of Rangers & Rovers, here today.
Professor Satnam Kour, Dean Students Welfare, JU, was chief guest on the occasion. She appreciated the efforts of The Law School in initiating students as Rangers & Rovers.   She further stressed upon the need for such induction programmes for inculcating the value systems among youth.
I  D Soni, State Commissioner Bharat Scouts and Guides apprised the gathering about Bharat Scouts and Guides movement in India. He also highlighted scouting as informal system of education, which can play a significant role   towards overall development of student.
Earlier, Dr Sanjay Gupta, Director of The Law School, presented the welcome address and Dr Monica Narang, teacher in charge for Rovers and Rangers in The Law School, presented an overview of the Rovers and Rangers activities being undertaken from time to time.
Other officials, who coordinated with the induction ceremony, included Usha Chuni, Harcharan Singh, Harvinder Kaur, Rajinder Kotwal. Gurpreet Singh, alumni & Rover, presented vote of thanks.
The program was attended by Dr Seema Rohmetra, Dr Bindu Sangra, Dr Mirnalni Atri, Dr Renu Jamwal, Dr Rajneesh Sharma, Dr. Monica Bhardwaj, Vandita Sharma and other faculty members.  Ritika, Ishna Vaid (Rangers and Rovers student coordinator of The Law School), Mansi Wali and Shubham were also present during the function.
