10 hurt as Canter over turns

RAJOURI, Oct 27: Ten persons were injured when a speeding Canter (mini-bus) over turned on the road at   Chhaprian, near Khandli bridge here today.
A police spokesman said that  mishap took place at around 11.30 am when the vehicle (JK11B/1257) was on way to Rajouri from Peeri village in Kandi area. The eye witnesses  said that vehicle was speeding and driver lost control and it over turned on the road, causing  injuries to at least ten persons. The driver managed to flee the spot after accident.
All the injured were rushed to District Hospital Rajouri by the locals and police, where one of them injured seriously, was referred to GMC Hospital Jammu. He was identified as Abdul Haq, resident of Gurdan in Rajouri.
Nine others were undergoing treatment in Rajouri hospital are- Wazir Mohd from Channi Parat, Shazia Kouser from Pannad, Mohd Rafiq from Kot Dharra, Mohd Rashid from Tarkassi, Ghulam Hussain from Poonda, Shahbaz Ahmed from Poonda, Mohd Wahid from Kot Dharrna, Mohd Alyas from Channi Prat  and Ali Asgar from Pnnad. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
