JAMMU, Oct 28:  In connection with the World Stroke Day  and promote the traditional folk culture of J&K, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) performed its 180th Saturday series musical play “Tandrusti Hazar Niamat Hai”  today in collaboration with Sangam Tru Art Production at it’s office compound, Durga Bhawan,  Disco Road,  Janipur Jammu on the theme of “Prevention of Health. ”
The musical play was written, produced and directed  by ML Dogra, former Regional Director, Song and Drama Division,  Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.  The program was inaugurated by the chief guest,  VK Magotra former Regional  Director,  Field Publicity, Government of India.
Among the  guests of honour  were JK Raina, freelancer Producer Director TV , RP Amla, event director BLSKS,  Dr AC Bhagat , Dr Tara Singh Charak and  Dr Anju Dogra.   The program was commenced with songs,  “Roko Roko Roko Aghat Rog Ki Roko”, “Is Roge Cha Bachi Saktde  Kesh Niyam Apnao Loko”, “Nasha Nai Kario Munde Kureio ”  ” Bacho Bacho Sugar Kola Bacho”, ” Nai Pee Shraban”, “Bari Kharab  Chutki”, “Nahin Piya Tobacco Balma”.   The songs and dances were presented to aware the masses.
The  music was assisted by Raju Bajgal, music instructor, BLSKS  and the   song was  sung by the artists of BLSKS and students  of the Institute .
The  chief guest  lauded the efforts of the organizers in making such awareness programmes. He said  stroke happens when the blood supply to part of the brain is cut off. Without blood, brain cells can be damaged or die. This damage can have different acts depending on where it happens in the brain. It can affect a person’s body, mobility and speech, as well as how they think and feel.
Earlier, in his welcome address  ML Dogra, Chairman, BLSKS  threw light on the theme ‘Our Hands-Our Future’. Dogra said every year World Stroke Day is observed on October 29 to underscore the serious nature and high rates of stroke, raise awareness of the prevention and treatment of the condition, and ensure better care and support for survivors. On this day, organizations around the world have facilitated events emphasizing education, testing, and initiatives to improve the damaging effects of stroke worldwide. Several artists and children participated in the program.
