POONCH, Oct 29: The police seized a truck loaded with seven bovine animals, being smuggled to Kashmir and arrested one person in this connection from Behramgalla area on Mughal Road early today.
A police spokesman said that a police party from Behramgalla, under Surankote Police Station led by SI Sukhbir Singh laid a naka and intercepted a mini-truck No. Jk11B/8033 and found seven bovine animals being loaded in it. The truck was on way to Kashmir from Rajouri side.
The Police seized the truck along with cattle and arrested the driver. He has been identified as Mohd Sharief, son of Mohd Ayub, resident of Sedow, in Shopian. Surankote police has registered a case FIR No. 244/ 2017 in this connection.
