UDHAMPUR, Oct 30: A labourer working with Gammon India Ltd was knocked to death by a truck on the National Highway near Khari, here today.
The deceased was identified as Mohd Azim (24), son of Noor Din of Raj Ghar Ramban. He was working on the roadside when an unidentified truck hit him. Locals and other workers of Gammon India Ltd took the injured to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors declared him as brought dead.
Later, the dead body was sent for postmortem. The police after completion of all the formalities and postmortem handed over the body to family members. A case has also been registered in this connection.
