JAMMU, Nov 11: The State Vigilance Organisation (SVO) today raided residence of a Junior Engineer in the Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department at Sidhra in connection with a case of Disproportionate Assets registered against him by Srinagar branch of the Organisation.
Reports said a SVO team from Srinagar, assisted by the sleuths of Jammu wing, raided Sidhra residence of Bashir Ahmad Bhat, a JE posted in PHE Department in Srinagar.
Simultaneously, his other houses and properties were also raided in Srinagar.
Reports said Mr Bhat had rented out his residence at Sidhra. The Vigilance team recorded statements of the tenant. From the raids at other places, the SVO was reported to have recovered some documents.
The SVO team returned after recording statements of the tenants that the house belonged to the JE. The team also evaluated cost of the residence.
