JAMMU, Nov 5: Panun Kashmir (PK) organized a meeting of its Executive Council here today. The meeting was presided over by Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, president, Panun Kashmir. Among others who attended the meeting included M.L.Raina, chairman, Political Affairs Committee, Virender Raina, national spokesperson-PK, Upinder Kaul, general secretary, Kamal Bagati, general secretary (Org), Moheni Raina, chairperson-DOPK, Vimla Chrungoo, secretary-DOPK, N.M.Gadroo, treasurer, P.K.Bhan, R.L.Sharma and Sameer Bhat, convener, Panun Kashmir Youth. The meeting was organised to take stock of the situation after the successful programme connected with the “J&K Vilay Divas” held at New Delhi. The meeting discussed the current socio-political situation prevailing in the State and also chalked out its programmes for the month of November 2017. It was unanimously decided in the meeting to commemorate the Decade Event of the ‘Kashmir Sankalp Yatra’ on 12th November 2017 in an appropriate manner.
Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, president, P K while addressing the meeting said that PK is satisfied over the conduct of the Vilay Divas programme at New Delhi recently. He said that it is incumbent upon Panun Kashmir to carry forward the Delhi Declaration passed in the programme at Delhi. The Government of India should take immediate and urgent steps to liberate the Pakistan occupied parts of Jammu & Kashmir State in consonance with the unanimous resolution passed by the Parliament in 1994.
The Kashmiri Pandit displaced community continues to live as refugees in its own country. A serious dialogue process should be initiated by the Government for the establishment of a separate homeland in Kashmir as explicitly demanded in the Margdarshan Resolution of 1991. The Article 370 and Article 35A have become an unnecessary baggage of the past errors of the rulers of India; there is a national consensus to review these absurd laws that are in contravention of the fundamental rights guaranteed under the Indian Constitution to the citizens of India. They should be abrogated under the due process of law as soon as possible and the Constitution (Application to Jammu & Kashmir State) Order 14th May 1954, since was/is an intentional fraud, be also abrogated along with.
He said Panun Kashmir rejected summarily the statement of the Advocate General of the J&K State regarding the so-called Autonomy etc. to the State.
Prof. M.L.Raina, chairman, Political Affairs Committee said that the issue of Rohangya illegal immigration has assumed a big national security threat to the Indian nation and particularly their presence in the Jammu and Kashmir State has implicit larger dimensions of demographic invasion on the Jammu region. The process for their detection and deportation should be taken in hand by the government forthwith.
The meeting also paid rich tributes to the martyred security forces personnel in the Valley and made a demand that the Government should take all measures to take necessary care of the families of the martyrs.
