Srinagar, Nov 5: Police today said it have arrested a bike lifter from central Kashmir’s Budgam district and recovered six bikes on his instance.
A police spokesman said that police apprehended a suspected person identified as Tariq in connection with a case under FIR number 61/17 under Section 379 RPC.
“On sustained questioning, the person revealed that he had stolen many bikes from in and around Srinagar and on his instance stolen bikes bearing registration/chassis numbers JKO1R-9423 (MBLJA06EV-AGE03939) probable place of theft SMHS Srinagar, JKO1M-8220 (MD2DSJBZZPWM12921) probable place of theft Khanyar Srinagar, JKO4A-8614 (99C19-F09384) probable place of theft Barbarshah Srinagar, JKOIG-7056 (02A21C43183) probable place of theft Karanagar Srinagar and JK04A-6773 (05EAAC08643) probable place of theft Kokerbazar Srinagar were recovered,” he said.
In addition to this, one more bike bearing registration number JK04D-7761 (MD2A11CZ6EC-E59375) has been recovered in case FIR number 80/2017 under Section 379 RPC which was stolen from Chewdara Beerwah on 28/29-07-2017, the police spokesman added.
