POONCH/ REASI, Nov 6: Two persons were killed in separate road accidents in Poonch and Reasi districts today.
A police spokesman said that 45-year-old Mohd Ikhlaq, son of Mohd Din, resident of Gundi village was killed on the spot after he was hit by an unknown vehicle at Madana, in Surankote area this afternoon.
SDPO Surankote, Asgar Malik said that police nakas were alerted after accident and vehicle will be traced shortly. He said that body was shifted to Surankote hospital for postmortem. A case has been registered in this connection.
A report from Reasi said that one person was killed after he fell down from a Tractor Trolley in Mahore area today. The deceased has been identified as Shabir Ahmed Bhat (23), son of Abdul Gaffar Bhat, resident of village Nihoch.
The mishap took place when Bhat was going on a tractor No. JK-20/ 6124 from Dungga to his village. He suddenly fell down from it and received head injuries. He was shifted to local hospital where doctors declared him as brought dead. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
