RAJOURI, Nov 10: The students hailing from Broh area of Mogla in Kalakote held protest and blocked road for about an hour.
They were protesting against the shortage of public transport in the area. They shouted slogans against DC, RTO Rajouri and SDM Kalakote. The students alleged that they get late in school in the morning due to non-availability of adequate vehicles. The school authorities often take them to task for being late. They have to come to the school after covering about 10 to 15 kms distance and they are suffering a lot.
They sat on dharna on the road near Shiv Temple on Rajouri-Kalakote-Taryath road. The traffic jam was created on the road. Later, SHO, Tehsildar, ZEO concerned and Principal of the Higher Secondary school went there and pacified the agitating students. They also spoke to RTO Rajouri and SDM on phone about the matter from the spot. Then on their assurance, the students lifted dharna.
