UDHAMPUR, Nov 14: A protect was held by Joint Action Committee of all parties in front of the office of Tehsildar Basantgarh and SDM Office Basantgarh.
Hundreds of people from the eight villagers of Basantgarh area participated in the protest against PMGSY for the delaying the construction of Basantgarh-Khaned-Khadwa and Ponrara-Loudhra roads.
The people who addressed the rally were Haji Mohammad Abass, Umer Din, Abdul Rasheed Wani and Sarpanch Loudhra Shoket Ali Lohar.
The protesters condemned the attitude of PMGSY and Government for delaying the construction of the roads.
They said that if the construction work on these roads is not started in three days, then they will sit on the road and block the traffic at Basantgarh. “We will intensify our protest, if our demand of roads construction is not redressed”, they warned.
