JAMMU, Nov 16: Pouni Chack police arrested a man along with large quantity of illicit liquor pouches.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Pouni Chack Police Post laid a naka at Anand Nagar and intercepted a person.
During checking, police recovered 52 pouches of illicit liquor from the possession of the person and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Rajesh Kumar of Bhadrore. He was carrying the illicit liquor pouches to his native area for selling among the people for illegitimate profits.
A case under FIR Number 351/17 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Domana Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Pouni Chack Police Post SI Arundev Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Domana Inspector RS Rana, SDPO Domana Varinder Singh and SP Rural Shivdeep Singh.
