SRINAGAR, Nov 15:  Former Minister and member All India Congress Committee  Abdul Ghani Vakil has alleged that good governance and accountability were missing in present regime and the Congress party will never work as B-team  in the coalition.
Addressing Youth Congress rally at Baramulla today, Mr Vakil, known for his hard-hitting  and controversial statements, accused coalition regime of  NC-Congress in the State for lack of transparency, accountability and good governance. Not only this, he further asserted that Congress party  would neither be sub-servant  and not will prefer  to work as B-team in the coalition, instead will work with honour and respect in administering the State.
Mr Vakil said Congress will never compromise on issues like corruption  and the question of accountability  and will raise its voice besides  keep a strict vigil on every type of mismanagement, callousness and mal-administration.  He appreciated the liberal funding by the Central Government in the shape of special package sanctioned for the welfare  and development of J&K. He said there was need to keep strict vigil and monitor these schemes closely.
The Congress leader pointed out that political situation was not good and moreover, good governance, accountability and transparency were missing.  Problems of the common people are not being addressed properly by the administration. Remote and rural areas are being neglected. People are suffering due to LPG crisis and no relief has been provided  to them till now. The Government must keep strict check on black marketing of LPG so that people could be relieved.
PYC leaders Sheikh Manzoor Ahmed, Altaf Ahmed Malik  and Iqbal Mir also addressed the gathering.
