DODA,  Nov 17:  Chief Eng-ineer, Border Roads Organisation’s Project  Beacon,  Brig Vishal Aggarwal, inspected ongoing work on Bhaderwah-Bani Road besides other important roads undertaken by  BRO (GREF) authorities in Doda district.
Brig Aggarwal  during his visit to Bhaderwah-Bani road,  inspected all the ongoing works. He was accompanied by  Col Neeraj Karki, Commander 35 BRTF and  Satpudke TD, Officer Commanding, 114 RCC of BRO.
The Chief Engineer  expressed satisfaction on  the state of preparedness for the upcoming rains and snowfall and snow clearance operations in the area. Brig Aggarwal  said that he was happy with the quality and speed of  road works undertaken in the area.
He  further said that in spite of the challenges of adverse conditions of terrain,  weather and slow progress in removing of encroachments, the work of double laning  of  Basohli – Bani – Bhaderwah Road to National Highway specifications is progressing satisfactorily and targets assigned to Project Beacon would be achieved. He referred to the construction of tunnel proposed at Chattergalla Pass and said that road will become all weather after this tunnel is constructed.
He asked the GREF officers to further expedite work on this important road project. Brig Aggarwal also inspected ongoing works on several other roads in Bhaderwah and Doda area before returning to Project Beacon headquarters  at Srinagar.
