RAJOURI, Nov 18: Micro Finance & Financial Inclusion Department of J&K Grameen Bank (JKGB) handed over PMJJBY claim of Rs 2 lakh to the nominee of an insurer at village Solki in Rajouri.
The claim was handed over to the nominee in a function organized by the bank. RK Narang, Regional Manager, Rajouri and Poonch, was the chief guest on the occasion.
The lump sum amount of Rs 2 lakh regarding PMJJBY claim was handed over to the nominee of the insurer, Neelam Kumari, by Sarpanches of the area namely Baisakhi Ram, Jameet Singh and Subash Chander.
Speaking on the occasion, Vipan Gupta, Senior Manager, MF&FI Department spoke at length about the ongoing JKGB Festival Bonanza – 2017 with a special offer of rebate in rate of interest of 0.5% for two wheeler loans for females, no processing charges on car, housing and two wheeler loans.
He also informed about the benefits of social security schemes namely (PMJJBY) Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, (PMSBY) Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and (APY) Atal Pension Yojana. The thrust was also given on various IT products like RuPay cards, SMS Alerts, NEFT/ RTGS and Immediate Payment services (IMPS).
MP Sharma, Branch Head, Solki, while speaking on the occasion said that after a span of more than one year, 100 percent claim settlement rate has been maintained by the bank. He said that most of the beneficiaries of PMSBY and PMJJBY belong to unorganized sector including factory workers, hawkers, rural agricultural labour, etc.
