Relief holders extend dead line, dharna enters 106th day

JAMMU, Nov 15: The Core Committee meeting of relief holders and over-aged youth was held at Jagti township today under the leadership of  Ajay Bhat in which the leaders of various KP organizations also participated.
The meeting, while expressing its dismay over the Government’s failure in enhancement of relief even on the holy festival of Diwali as was expected by relief holders has extended its dead line by December 5 failing which the relief holders from Jagti township and other camp and non camp areas will march towards Civil Secretariat.
The meeting in an appeal to Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah has sought his immediate intervention in the matter and urged him to give and audience to relief holders so that they will not be forced to take an extreme step as they are unable to make their both ends meet in these hard days when prices have touched the sky.
Meanwhile the dharma launched by relief holders in front of Relief Commissioner’s Office has entered 106th day. Ravinder Raina who leads the ongoing agitation has warned to continue the struggle till demand is met. He accused the Government of its callousness towards the relief holders and over-aged youth.
