JAMMU, Nov 15: An educational-cum-motivational tour for the school children of remote border areas of Akhnoor Sub-Division was flagged off today by Kalidhar Brigade under the aegis of Crossed Swords Division.
The objective of the tour organised under ‘Operation Sadbhavana’, was to showcase the development of the country to the school children from the underdeveloped regions.
The ten days tour would provide an opportunity to 23 students and two teachers to visit Kolkata.
The tour was flagged off by Major General NPS Hira, SM, General Officer Commanding, Crossed Swords Division.
During his interaction with the youth, the General Officer Commanding impressed upon them the important role they have to play towards nation-building, as the inheritors of the India of tomorrow.
