JAMMU, Nov 21:  State Government Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC-K) has urged upon the Government to take action on the demands agreed upon by the Government representatives from time to time.
Addressing a joint press conference here today senior EJAC members- Balwinder Singh, Amrik Singh, Ravi Singh Bhau, Dharminder Singh, Ravinder Singh and Nazir Ahmed  alleged that State Government has duped the employees after reaching a number of agreements with their leaders. The Government has failed to honour its commitment. Only false and hollow claims were made and by doing so, the Government has lost its credibility.
The Government failed to take any decision regarding removal of pay anomalies of clerical and other cadres and also on regularization of  daily rated and other consolidated/ contractual  workers. The Government also failed to enhance the Medical Allowance of the employees and pensioners from Rs 300  to Rs 3000 per month.
They  strongly demanded that  as declared in the State Legislature the State Government should implement 7th Pay Commission report without any more delay. They pointed out that State Govt had constituted a committee for implementation of 7th Pay Commission report with effect from April Ist, 2018, as announced by the Finance Minister Haseeb Drabu in the Budget Speech  during February 1017. However, till date the committee so constituted  has not submitted its recommendations/ report  to the Government.
“It seems that Government is again playing with the sentiments of the employees  and adopting delaying tactics, : they maintained.
The EJAC leaders appealed to the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to fulfill the commitment of its Government  and not to force the employees to come out on the roads.
