Cold wave continues

Srinagar, Nov 22: Intense cold wave continued to grip Kashmir with summer capital Srinagar and Leh Town of Ladakh division experiencing coldest nights of the season.
An official of Meteorological Department said that Srinagar recorded a minimum temperature of -2.0. degree Celsius against previous night’s -1.7 degree Celsius while maximum temperature settled at 13.3 degree Celsius. Gulmarg in North Kashmir again was coldest in Valley where night temperature settled at -5.0 degree Celsius. Qazigund recorded 12.8 degree Celsius maximum temperature while minimum temperature settled at -2.0 degree Celsius, against previous of -0.8.
Pahalgam recorded 10.4 degree Celsius day temperature and night temperature settled at -3.0 degree Celsius, against previous of -2.7. Kokernag in South Kashmir recorded 11.7 degree Celsius maximum temperature while night temperature settled at -0.4 degree Celsius. The day temperature in Kupwara settled at 14.3 degree Celsius while the minimum temperature settled at -3.0 degree Celsius.
Leh recorded a minimum temperature of -11.4 degree Celsius, against previous of -10.2. In Kargil, the night temperature settled at -6.2 degree Celsius. The weatherman said there is forecast of dry weather in Kashmir for next 24 hours.
