JAMMU, Nov 23: Domana police arrested a man along with large quantity of illicit liquor pouches.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Domana Police Station laid a naka near Akalpur and intercepted a pedestrian, who was trying to hide himself from the cops.
During checking, police recovered 50 pouches of illicit liquor from the possession of the man and arrested him.
The accused has been identified as Darshan, son of Ishru, a resident of Gajansoo. He was carrying the illicit liquor pouches to his village for selling among the people to make illegitimate profits.
A case under FIR Number 356/17 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Domana Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Domana Inspector RS Rana made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Domana Verinder Singh and SP Rural Shivdeep Singh.
