NEW DELHI, Nov 24: Chana prices moved down by 0.69 per cent to Rs 5,035 per quintal in futures trading today after participants trimmed exposure amid tepid demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position.
In futures trading at the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, chana for delivery in December fell by Rs 35, or 0.69 per cent to Rs 5,035 per quintal with an open interest of 24,740 lots.
Similarly, the commodity for delivery in far-month January 2018 shed Rs 14, or 0.28 per cent to Rs 4,936 per quintal in 26,190 lots.
Marketmen attributed the fall in chana prices at futures trade to offloading of positions by traders, taking negative cues from physical markets due to fall in demand against sufficient stocks position. (PTI)
