The J&K Government has totally failed to rehabilitate the kashmiri migrants during the last 29 years of its forced exodus. It’s an irony that Kashmiri migrants are living like refugees in their own homeland and not even a single political party came to them to redress their grievances since migration. J&K Govt always speaks in high volume as far as the return and rehabilitation of kashmiri pandits is concerned but the harsh reality is that the State Government has totally failed to rehabilitate KPs during the last 30 years of migration.
However, the PM’s employment package for Kashmiri migrant which was announced long back ago in the year 2008 was basically formulated to make this return and rehabilitation project a grand success but the callous attitude of the State Government always makes mockery of this job employment package by delaying its implementation. It is often very agonizing and distressing that a package which was announced in the year 2008 is still in doldrums and has yielded no positive outcome till date.
Moreover, out of the 6000 supernumerary posts only around 2200 posts have been filled till date. This in itself shows the partiality and discrimination done towards this part of community by the State Govt. I would like here to make an appeal to our CM to direct the J&K SSB to advertise the remaining 3000 posts without any further delay.
