This has reference to the article ‘What is smart in smart cities by Karanvir Gupta published in DE Nov 22, 2017.
Impressive article. He has very rightly listed the role of State administration.
However how easy will it be to execute any development work within old city, be it laying of water or drain pipeline, telephone cables in the streets. Each work affects the movement and people start blaming authorities as pace of work is slow.
My understanding is we should develop completely new Smart cities instead of existing cities as most of the old cities are very congested.
