Shobha Yatra of Shree Yantra, Navgreh taken out

JAMMU, Nov 24: The Shobha Yatra of Navgreh and Shree Yantra was taken out today in various parts of Gandhi Nagar area, as a part of three-day programme for installation of idols of Navgreh and Shree Yantra at new temple being added in Shree Lakshmi Narayan Temple complex.
The holy idols of Navgreh and Shree Yantra were placed in the tastefully decorated ‘rath’ and another carrier and taken out in a procession in a customary manner amidst bands and recitation of Vedic mantras.
The city procession was led by president of Shree Lakshmi Narayan Management Trust, Thakur Gulchain Singh Charak and other members of the Trust. A group of well-known priests specially called from Haridwar, Kirtan Mandli, devotees and prominent citizens participated in the procession.
The idols of Shree Yantra and Navgreh will be installed tomorrow after performing all religious rituals including day-long, which will conclude with ‘Puran Aahuti’. A special ‘Maha-Aarti on the lines of ‘Ganga Aarti’ at 6.30 PM would be the grand finale to the colourful celebrations.
