SRINAGAR, Nov 16: J&K Bank organised a financial literacy camp at Waterhail Budgam.
Speaking on the occasion, facilitator FLCC Budgam said, “the main objective of the camp is to make people of rural areas aware about the role of banks in improving their economic condition.”
He urged the participants to open accounts in the banks so that they too can avail the benefits of financial empowerment.
The Bank recently also opened its Business Unit at Waterhail.
Head B.U Waterhail Qazi Altaf also spoke on the occasion.
The Bank conducted such awareness camp at village Tahab in Pulwama, which was attended by a large gathering of people.
Sarpanchs and Panchs also took part in the awareness camp besides Lead District Manager (LDM) Pulwama, Zonal Insurance Coordinator, Head B.U Tahab and Branch Head Ellaquai Dehati Bank (EDB) Tahab.
Facilitator FLCC Pulwama M S Parray gave an overview of various deposit/lending schemes and e-baking products of banks.
An awareness camp was conducted at Khull Noorabad in Kulgam.
The camp was attended by apple growers, farmers and others affiliated with agriculture.
