SRINAGAR, Nov 26: Police today cracked an abduction and murder case of a 19-year-old girl in Gushi area of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district in few hours after the incident.
Police this morning recovered body of Gulshana Bano, daughter of Bashir Ahmad Bhat in her native Gushi village of Kupwara. The body was taken into custody and a case under Section 302 RPC and 366 RPC was registered.
Police arrested a youth identified as Mohammad Altaf Malik, son of Dilawer Malik of Sarmarg in connection with the incident.
The SSP Kupwara Shamsheer Husain said that the case has been cracked in record time of two hours as the murder and kidnapping has been found to have been carried out by Malik who was arrested.
