JAMMU, Nov 26: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) today demolished four shops at Friends Colony, Trikuta Nagar Extension and four iron rolling shutters for violation of rules.
The drive was conducted on the direction of Ramesh Kumar, Commissioner JMC. During the drive, which was led by Rajesh Sharma, Joint Commissioner (A) JMC, along with Chief Enforc-ement Officer and Enforcement Officer demolished four shops at Friends Colony, Trikuta Nagar Extension and four iron rolling shutters fixed there by pressing men and machinery into service which were being extended towards road side without the permission of JMC.
The demolition drive was conducted with the co-operation and assistance of police force led by Station House Officer, police station Channi Himmat.
The JMC appealed the general public to refrain from raising unauthorized constructions failing which the demolition/sealing of the unauthorized structure will take place.
