SURAT (GUJARAT), Nov 27: Accusing Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi of inducing a political culture of lies and hypocrisy, Union Minister and BJP Election “Sah-Prabhari”, Dr Jitendra Singh alleged here today that Rahul Gandhi visits temple only when he is in Gujarat and asked him to reply whether, in all these years, he has ever visited a temple in the neighbourhood of his Delhi residence.
Speaking to media persons, Dr Jitendra Singh said, in the Gujarat election campaign, Rahul Gandhi has tried to play the dangerous game of introducing the poison of caste-based animosity among different sections of society. He said, the credit goes to the maturity of the people of Gujarat that they refused to fall in the trap but the entire nation will have to rise up and introspect whether India can allow this kind of political culture being introduced at the behest of someone who claims himself of being a Prime Ministerial candidate.
When Rahul Gandhi accuses Narendra Modi or the BJP of bluffing the people of Gujarat, Dr Jitendra Singh said, the Congress Vice-President does not know that by doing so, he is actually questioning the wisdom and maturity of an average Gujarati and also mocking the aspiration of the youth who are seeking to fulfil their dreams through the development agenda laid down by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Refuting the Congress charge that BJP is trying to do “damage control” in Surat by reaching out to textile traders, Dr Jitendra Singh said that in over one hour direct interaction between Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and representatives of Textile industry yesterday, there was not a single voice of dissent or opposition and on the contrary, in one voice, all the traders expressed their wholehearted support to Modi Government reforms, including GST, and also expressed confidence that if ever, they have any grievance, they know that the redressal of the same can also be obtained only from a BJP led Government guided by Narendra Modi.
With each passing day, Dr Jitendra Singh claimed that the BJP position in Gujarat is getting more and more consolidated, and by the time Gujarat goes to polls on 9th of December, it will be a one – sided contest.
