Heroin, intoxicant tablets, toy gun seized; accused escapes

JAMMU, Nov 27: Miran Sahib police seized heroin, toy gun and other materials from the possession of a man, who managed to escape from the spot during frisking.
As per police sources, on specific information, a police team led by SDPO RS Pura Surinder Choudhary and assisted by SHO Miran Sahib Inspector Ajit Singh and Incharge Kulian Border Police Post ASI Yougal Sharma under the supervision of SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal intercepted a person, who was trying to run away on seeing cops.
During checking, police recovered 3 grams heroin, 10 intoxicant tablets, toy pistol, foil papers, match boxes and burnt notes of Rs 20 and Rs 10 from the possession of the person. As cops were checking the accused, he managed to escape from the spot.
The accused has been identified as Parvinder Singh alias Param, son of Rajinder Singh alias Kaka, a resident of Ward Number 3, Simbal Camp.
A case under FIR Number 163/17 under Section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered against the accused at Police Station Miran Sahib and hunt has been launched to arrest him.
