Stop violation of Labour laws: AITUC

POONCH, Nov 27: All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC) State council has asked all the concerned agencies and organizations of organized and un-organised sector to stop violation of Labour laws.
In a press statement, Vidhya Sagar Giri, secretary AITUC projected many burning issues of the working class and said that they are facing victimization at various levels. He alleged that Government was ignoring 12-point charter of demands like minimum wages review, social security, workers status and pay facilities, unemployment situation, price rise of essentials and crisis being faced by workers etc. With this worker class is facing harassment and victimization.
He also urged upon the concerned agencies/ companies to provide job to the local youth in the hydel power projects besides in other projects of national importance and also in the new industries being set up in the State. Trade Union leader also demanded early conduct of Panchayat and Local Bodies elections in the State and release pending wages/arrears of VRS given SRTC workers.
