REASI, Dec 1: A meeting of Sangram Sena was held here today under the chairmanship of its President Ram Rattan Raina, in which all the respectable persons of Reasi and activists of Sangram Sena were present. The main objective of the meeting was to protect the ancient fort of late General Zorawar Singh constructed during 1839.
While speaking, Ram Rattan Raina said that the fort was constructed by late General Zorawar Singh in 1839, but the fort is in bad conditions.
“Government failed to take any steps to preserve the fort”, he said and assured to take up the issue with Divisional Commissioner Jammu and will also approach Archaeology Department for maintenance and renovation of the fort.
