MENDHAR, Nov 17: The Educational-cum-Motivational tour of 23 young students hailing from remote far flung border areas of Rajouri and Poonch districts was flagged in here today at Basoni.
The tour was flagged in by Danish Rana, IPS, DIG, Poonch-Rajouri in the presence of Deputy Commander, 13 Sect Rashtriya Rifles, MR Anwar Hussain Sah, ADC, Poonch, SDPO, Mendhar and heads of nearby villages and parents of the children.
During the tour the students visit many historical places of Darjeeling and Gangtok and enjoy the sunrise at Darjeeling, Changu Lake near Nathula Border. They also met various dignitaries and interacted with them.
The tour was organised under the aegis of Romeo Force for 23 volunteer students and two teachers for a period of 10 days.
