UDHAMPUR, Dec 2: Udhampur Police today rescued 10 bovine animals and also seized the truck, in which these animals were being smuggled to Kashmir.
The truck, bearing registration number JK02V-7674, was intercepted at Tikri, by a police party from PP Tikri, led by SI Sanjeet Sharma. Besides rescuing the bovine animals, Police also arrested the truck driver, namely Tarif Hussain, son of Mohd Khajoor of Dhoondak, Surankote Poonch.
In this connection, a case FIR number 197 U/S 188 RPC, 3 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Rehambal and further investigation is going on.
